“MUSIC FOR FIVE CHAIRS”

Collaboration with Summer School Radio

To us, music and furniture are forever intertwined. They are equal explorations of humans in space: one in the physical and the other in the auditory.

Through our work, we always want to continue to push how humans connect to their physical objects of living. For this project, we collaborated with DJ Lovie of Summer School Radio on a series of five playlists, eached based on a historically significant chair.

By interpreting the energy and thematic atmosphere of the chair, Lovie was able to craft five distinct worlds, each contained with a set of songs.

These mixes were our gift to our audience and live on our Spotify account, available here.

Pink Essay is a creative studio & platform re-designing design culture. We make experiences + exhibitions + archives, synthesizing the digital and physical.

We believe that good design is democratic, accessible, antiracist, sustainable and collaborative.
Design culture is on the move: people are excited and ready to see what we can make when we believe in the power of objects as tools of human growth and community connection.

We’re here to make connections, tell stories, and build a new design culture.
